Brenda im NacboardYou might want to know that in 2007 I had reason to talk to an Apostle, because of "very bad ministering" in a certain area. And you know what? This Apostle actually agreed that some ministers are appointed for the wrong reasons... be it favouritism, nepotism, a-need-for-a-minister-but-not-enough-eligible-males, etc. So I asked him "why don't they get fired"... he answered "it is more involved than just firing..." I then said to him that while the leaders twiddle their thumbs on decision-making, more and more members are suffering because of the inadequate ministering, and he sighed. He didn't have an answer.
I do understand that "it is more involved than just firing", BUT, isn't the main reason for a church's existence to provide soul care? What is more important? Sparing the feelings of some minister who might feel bad because he's getting fired / hesitation to get involved in arguments or nastiness with said minister / not having the guts to confront such a minister...?? Or is it more important to ensure that families receive adequate soul care?
I think the answer is obvious.

I. How will it go?
A. With help of God it will go
B. Apostles will do their very best to support him
C. Bishops will pray for him
D. He will never be alone
II. Tasks
A. He will be a leader of a church, not a company. Requires Godly wisdom and strength.
B. must love the souls. Be ready to support/push forward work of God.
C. Take care of all of the ministers. Unity important because it is the work of God
1. be humble
2. God fearing
3. praying
4. Showing love to members
D. Decide which brothers shall be chosen for this Pray to open your eyes that you see things in the right way
E. Administer and organization: that he has the talents and gifts to do that which is necessary. Strive for oneness.
F. Work could be bigger... doubled... 10X
G. Be patient
H. Do our very best
I. Do together in one accord.

Zum NAC-Gebäude in Kitchener in "full majesty" fällt mir jenseits heftiger Übelkeit und erheblicher Sehstörungen nur Lukas 9, 58 ein.
